Space Alert is a cooperative team survival game for 1-5 players. Participants take on the role of spaceship crew members tasked with exploring dangerous sectors of the galaxy. Each mission has a fixed duration of 10 minutes of actual gameplay, during which the sole objective is to protect the ship from imminent threats in order to perform the hyperspace jump and return safely.
The core of the game is a real-time timer system, managed via a 10-minute soundtrack that also announces the arrival of various threats. These can include battleships, interceptors, interstellar monsters, asteroids, onboard intruders, or internal malfunctions. Players must collaborate and make quick decisions, coordinating their actions simultaneously to respond effectively to every danger.
