Sobek is a creation by the renowned Bruno Cathala (author of hits like Cyclades and Mr. Jack), a fast-paced card game, perfect for families yet rich in strategic depth. Each turn, players face a crucial choice: take a goods card from the board, play a character card with a special power to alter the course of the game, or reveal a set of identical goods to gain immediate profits. Every decision is a step towards victory or towards the abyss of corruption.

The true challenge of Sobek lies in the balance between ambition and integrity. While taking the most advantageous cards may seem tempting, it often leads to accumulating corruption seals. At the end of each round, after five sets of nine cards have been dealt and chosen, victory points are calculated. But a bitter surprise awaits the player with the most corruption seals: their earnings will be almost halved! With tactical choices, a dash of luck, and cunning, you must navigate between business and morality to prove yourself the most skilled and honest (or least corrupt) merchant of Ancient Egypt. The game concludes after three intense rounds or when a player reaches one hundred points, declaring the absolute winner of Sobek.
