Heat: Pedal to the Metal is an intense car racing game where players take on the role of drivers, competing to cross the finish line first. The core of the gameplay is based on an intuitive hand management card system, through which participants must balance the aggressiveness of speed with the need to keep their car's engine under control, avoiding the risk of overheating.
Each turn, players play cards from their hand to determine their vehicle's speed and movement on the track. However, pushing too hard on the accelerator generates "calore" (heat), a resource that, if accumulated excessively, can lead to penalties. The main actions during a race include:
- Playing speed cards from hand to move the car on the track.
- Managing the heat generated, trying to cool the engine to avoid penalties.
- Utilizing corners and track conditions to optimize movement and resource management.
In addition to single races, the game offers a "Championship System" that allows players to tackle an entire season, customizing their car with specific upgrades before each race. Weather, road conditions, and events change with each race, adding variety and challenges.
