The other players then choose a card from their hand that best fits that description. All cards are then revealed, and participants vote to guess which image is the storyteller's original. A perfect balance between cleverness and intuition, where the goal is to be understood by some, but not by all, to maximize points. Rules - Dixit: Odyssey
Dixit: Odyssey is a board game that can be played by 3 to 12 players, with an average duration of 30 minutes. It is both a standalone game and an expansion for the renowned Dixit. The objective is to use imagination to describe or interpret the magnificent images illustrated on the cards, earning points by guessing the storyteller's card and having others vote for your own.
The game unfolds in turns, with one player taking on the role of storyteller. The storyteller secretly chooses a card from their hand and provides a clue (a word or a phrase) that describes it, but without being too obvious or too cryptic. The other players choose a card from their hand that, in their opinion, best matches the clue and hand it to the storyteller. All cards are shuffled and laid face up on the table. Players, excluding the storyteller, secretly vote for the card they believe to be the storyteller's.
- If no one or everyone guesses the storyteller's card: the storyteller receives no points; all other players receive 2 points.
- Otherwise: the storyteller and players who guessed correctly each receive 3 points.
- Each player receives 1 point for each vote their card receives.
Hands are refilled, and the role of storyteller passes to the next player. The game ends when the draw pile runs out; the player with the highest score wins.
